God is good....

Well....................we signed a purchase contract w/ someone today to buy our house...I'm really excited be/c of a few things actually.

  • As extremely excited as I was to have my dream home and as heartbroken as I thought I'd be if I didn't get it...I came to a point that I was at peace w/ the chance of losing it and having to stay in this house.
  • Throughout this whole thing, I kept telling myself and everyone else that what was "meant" to happen would, inferring that I was putting it in His hands,
  • but I didn't...not totally. I was always putting my hands in it and I was always getting disappointed.
  • then one day, I just totally gave the worries and pain to Him and learned true patience and Faith. It WAS actually a great moment...when I had TOTAL faith in His plan and KNEW I'd be okay with His decision.
  • I think this whole process was God's way of teaching me first patience and second...Faith in His time. I have to say, it's been an interesting journey...
  • We're planning on closing on the current house on June 26th at 11:00 a.m. and the new house, the same day, at 2:oo p.m. , so it's going to be a busy day for us...but a wonderful one at the same time.

We went to church this morning, then met with the buyers to go over and sign the purchase contract. Then headed on down to my grandparents to visit with them...something I always love to do...I'm 36 years old and I still hate to leave my grandparents. There's something about being there, talking and catching up, drinking coffee and eating whatever yummy creation my grandmother has come up with, that is pure peace. Just a calm that I love.

Tomorrow, Darryl is going kayaking with his BIL and then we're going to finish picking out the appliances and head to do the lights. Can't wait for that one. FUN FUN.....

I will say it again -- CONGRATS!!

Here's hoping that you will be in your Dream home and there will be another 'family' that will have found their NEW dream home too!

Glad to catch up, it's been a busy weekend for me.

Good luck on your pre-op testing this week. Keep us posted on how they all go ;)
